A Majestic National Symbol

On July 17, 2014 the world shared in a global tragedy. Suddenly terror struck Flight 17 over the skies of Eastern Europe. This short film piece is created with the contributions from Malaysia to Amsterdam. Its purpose to memorialize the passengers and crew of MH17. The story of the 'wau bulan' the traditional Malaysian kite is shared. It is known as a proud majestic national symbol of the country. It serves as the inspiration for the Malaysia Airlines logo. Below is a brief collection of images from 9M-MRD's 17 year service. The aviation photographers that contributed to the MH370 Tribute also wanted to share these images in memorial to the victims of this flight.
